Base paint that can be diluted with white spirit
To protect iron surfaces, subject to corrosion and rust. Apply after accurately eliminating scale, cleaning manually or by sanding. It is based on alkyd resins, long oil, zinc phosphate and inorganic pigments. Being composed of rust inhibitors, resins and pigments, it creates a barrier between the metal and the external environment.

Can be diluted with white spirit. It cannot be mixed.
Store the product at temperatures no lower than 1°C out of direct sunlight.
The product covers 6÷8m²/kg for each coat.
The empty jar and washing residue of the used equipment must be disposed of, according to local regulations in force.
To apply with a brush, dilute at 5÷7%. To apply with a wool roller, dilute at 7÷8%. To apply with a spray, dilute at 8÷10%.
In normal temperature conditions (22°C) and relative humidity (60%), the surface is dry to the touch in 3 to 5 hours and can be painted over after 24 hours.
Use at ambient temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. Avoid application in case of strong rain, wind and high sunlight.
CYCLE: On new non-painted objects: clean any traces of grease or oil. Remove any rust by brushing or sanding. Apply a coat of Sottosmalto antiruggine. After at least 24÷36 hours, apply another coat if retained necessary of Sottosmalto antiruggine. After a further 24÷36 hours, you can apply the first coat of enamel finish in the desired colour.
Already painted objects: accurately clean the substrate, removing any rust or old flaky paint, clean the scraped surface and apply Sottosmalto antiruggine.
WARNINGS: Mix the product well before use.
