Grey mortar for masonry and plaster.
Dry premixed mortar, composed of: hydraulic binders, selected sands and additives that improve the application characteristics: the product complies with the EN998-2 and is classified as GM5.
Malta pronta is used for interior and exterior masonry, composed of bricks or concrete blocks. It can also be used for plastering exterior and interior masonry composed of bricks, concrete, concrete blocks and plaster carrying mesh.
Can be mixed with water.
Keep the place dry and ventilated. The product, sealed in the original package keeps for a period of 1 year.
Any package residue must be disposed of, according to local regulations in force.
Mix with a low speed helical whip mixer, adding water to the content of the 5 kg sack of grey plaster until you obtain a malleable and homogeneous mortar. Do not mix for more than 5 minutes.
The useful life of the mixture (at 22°C and relative humidity at 60%) is around 2 hours. Average drying time is 3 weeks.
Use at ambient temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
CYCLE: On masonry: the bricks r blocks used must be free of dust and oily and greasy substances. With a hot and dry climate, the bricks or blocks must be moistened before applying the mortar.
On plaster: the substrate must be free of dust, oily and greasy substances and be rough and homogeneous. Mixed masonry must be previously rendered. With a hot and dry climate, the bricks or blocks must be moistened before applying the plaster.
WARNINGS: Mortar thickness is maximum 20 mm and minimum 5 mm. In the summer period protect the mortar from quick drying with suitable protection and where necessary, moisten the bricks, blocks or substrates before applying. Do not apply to blocks, bricks or substrates that are frozen, thawing or with frost risk in the 24 hours after applying. Using an excessive amount of mixing water determines the reduction of mechanical strength and the increase in hydraulic shrinkage of the hardened mortar.
The product is ready to use and should be mixed only with water. The addition of foreign matter may compromise the technical-applicative characteristics.
