Fine, quartz acrylic paint for exteriors
Paint for exteriors, formulated with acrylic resins, titanium dioxide, mineral fillers, fine quartz and light resistant pigments. Excellent weather and alkali resistance. Excellent adhesion strength on the substrate, good resistance to crack formation, good water resistance combined with good water vapour permeability.
On two-coat plaster, cement, concrete, roughcast or cured plaster, already painted plaster, walls, and insulation system coating.
VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS EU limit value VOC (Directive 2004/42 EC) Pitture per pareti esterne di supporto minerale (Cat A/c) BA 40 gr/lt (2013) AcrilQuarzfas max contains 40 gr/lt di VOC
Can be diluted with water. Can be mixed with CIPIR colourants or with the "ChròmaSystem" colouring system.
Store the product at a temperature, no lower than 5°C out of direct sunlight. The product, stored and sealed in the original packages, keeps for a period of 2 (two) years.
On surfaces treated with sealers and/or suitable bases, the product covers 4÷6m²/kg for two coats.
The empty jar and washing residue of the used equipment must be disposed of, according to local regulations in force.
To apply with a brush, dilute at 15÷20% for the first coat and 10÷15% for the second. To apply with a wool roller, dilute at 15÷20% for the first coat and 10÷15% for the second.
In normal temperature conditions (22°C) and relative humidity (60%), the surface is dry to the touch in 3÷5 hours, can be painted over after 24 hours and is dry in depth after at least 48 hours.
Use at ambient temperatures between 10°C and 30°C. Avoid application in case of strong rain, wind and high sunlight.
CYCLE: On new substrates: make sure the plaster has reached a curing of 28 days, check that the surface is dry, clean and free of dust or inconsistent parts. Apply a coat of "FIXCIPIR" fixative, diluted with a ratio of maximum 1 part of product and 5 parts water, depending on the absorption of the wall. Let at least 12÷18 hours pass and then proceed with the first coat of AcrilQuarzfas and after at least 24 hours the second coat can be applied.
On old, damaged or already painted substrates: accurately clean any traces of old paint that is not perfectly adherent to the surface. In the presence of mould, treat with "RISANMUR". Check the wall is perfectly dry and dusted and apply the "LACCA 1400RM" solvent fixative or "LACCA 140W" with strong penetration micro particles. In the event of stained, dark or chromatically non-uniform walls, it is recommended to fix with "CIPIRFOND" coating. After 12÷18 hours, the first coat of AcrilQuarzfas can be applied.
WARNINGS: Mix the product well before use. Avoid applying in the event of heavy rain, wind or a lot of sunshine. Applying the product in unsuitable environmental conditions, negatively affects the drying time, compromising the optimal result of both the aesthetic characteristics and its performance. The drying process and polymerization for the application of AcrilQuarzfas in ideal environmental conditions, is complete within 8÷10 days. If the product should be subject to run-off rain water in this period, stains and/or semi-transparent drops (streaking), this phenomenon is temporary and does not affect the quality of the product and can be removed by lightly pressure washing. It will self-remove in subsequent rainfalls. It is recommended to protect the surface from rain and humidity for at least 48 hours after applying the product.
NOTE: Ideal environmental conditions: temperature: min. +8°C - max +35°C relative humidity<75%.
Ideal substrate conditions: temperature: min. +5°C - max +35°C - humidity<10%.
It is recommended to apply the product in favourable climatic conditions as indicated.
Keep the product out of the reach of children.
